June 24: Idan Raichel Project HYIM and the Fat fOakland Orchestra
Sunday, June 24 at 2:00 p.m. The Idan Raichel Project brought its entrancing blend of Ethiopian and Middle Eastern flavors for a spectacular afternoon at Stern Grove Festival. Their blend of Ethiopian and Middle Eastern sounds has made them a multi-platinum selling group in Israel. Local band, Hyim & The Fat fOakland Orchestra, opened the concert. Hyim’s energetic mix of Afro-Cuban, folk, reggae, jazz, and world beat has made him a favorite in the Bay Area.
