July 8: San Francisco Symphony Conducted by James Gaffigan
Sunday, July 8 at 2:00 p.m.Stern Grove, 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard, San Francisco Under the leadership of Michael Tilson Thomas, the San Francisco Symphony is known the world over as one of the most dazzling and innovative orchestras in the world. The San Francisco Symphony was led by Associate Conductor, James Gaffigan, who, at the age of 27, is a rising star in the classical world. The Symphony performed Rossini’s Overture to La gazza ladra, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2 in D major. Jeremy Denk was the featured pianist in the Piano Concerto.
