Stern Grove Festival celebrated the Bay's hip-hop heroes on July 26 with The Lyrics Born Re-View, featuring special guests Joyo Velarde, Trackademicks, DJ D Sharp, and Pigeon John, with The Mighty Underdogs opening the show.

Lyrics Born is the epitome of Bay Area hip-hop- driven, talented, and a tad silly. His high energy Grove appearance brought the crowd of 9000 to its feet, leaving even the trees shaking.

A super group comprised of heavyweights Lateef the Truth Speaker, Gift of Gab, and Headnodic, The Mighty Underdogs brought their alternative brand of hip-hop to the Grove with hypnotizingly heavy beats and lightening quick MC skills.
