Stern Grove Festival runs on community. From welcoming guests to keeping the park clean, our volunteers are essential to making every concert a joyful, safe, and unforgettable experience.

How it works:

STEP 1: Create a profile

Volunteer sign-ups open April 10. Once open, create a profile through Bloomerang Volunteer to access opportunities, sign up for shifts, and track your hours.

STEP 2: Attend an Orientation

Join a virtual session to learn how the program works, how to use the platform, and what to expect.

STEP 3: Sign Up for Shifts

 Volunteer opportunities will be released in batches:

  • April 10 — Batch 1

  • May 14 — Batch 2

  • June 11 — Batch 3

  • July 9 — Batch 4

STEP 4: Show Up & Have Fun!

You’ll receive details emailed to you ahead of your shift. Just come ready to jump in and support the festival. After you complete your shift, you’ll get two tickets to an upcoming show of your choice. 

FAQ

  • Volunteers must be 18 or older. Our volunteer roles take place in a large, active event environment, so this helps ensure a safe and smooth experience for everyone involved.”

  • Sign up now through our Volunteer Portal to create your profile. As soon as shifts go live, you’ll be the first to know. Think of it as a backstage pass to the sign-up sheet.

  • Don’t give up yet! Shifts open all the time as schedules change, so check back on the portal regularly. Volunteer shifts will sometimes open back up as folks adjust their plans. 

  • Group volunteering is awesome and we’re working out the details! Please email us at volunteer@sterngrove.org when your crew is ready to go. 

  • You’ll get two General Admission tickets to a future show of your choice after you complete your full volunteer shift, start to finish.

  • We’ll do our best to get you into your top choice, but some shows fill up fast and aren’t guaranteed.

  • We totally get it, if your favorite artist is performing, it’s hard not to groove. That said, we do ask volunteers to stay focused during their shift. If you know you won’t be able to stop dancing long enough to focus on your shift responsibilities, please consider working another show and use your free tickets to see your fave uninterrupted.
